Goodbye to our very first home. Central Location. Convenient. But Daddy and Mummy decided to give it up so that Mei Mei Enya and me can have our own bedroom in the new home. In the first home, Nai Nai sleeps in the masterbed room while Daddy and Mummy had the 2 guest rooms merged so they could have a walk in wardrobe and studyroom within. In the new home, Daddy & Mummy will be staying in the masterbed room. Nai Nai takes the 1st guest room while Enya, Auntie Rina and me will sleep in the 2nd guest room.

First we drove to Telok Blangah Heights where there's a pond in the nearby park. Daddy said it's a little too small for them. Next, we were thinking of Singapore River but it's pretty far. Then, Mummy thought of Pandan Reservoir which is near our new home. So, here we are, freeing our 6 yrs old tortoises. We saw other tortoises popping their heads out of the water, so they'll have companions :)

Check out our sweetie pies! The 2 adorable girls met again, hold hands, posed and took great pictures together! Leia is starting to take initiative to hold other kids' hand and sayang other babies. Hope she will 'treat' Enya well after she arrives. This time, she got over-possessive and didn't want to let go of Chloe's hand till she complained that it's so painful. Daddy and Mummy opted for a short getaway to Penang so that Mummy can travel somewhere before Mei Mei Enya arrives. She can't bear to leave me in S'pore, Penang is a short flight away and we wanted to ask Po Po along for a family trip. So, Penang fits the requirements. Po Po finally decided to join us, it's her first time taking flight after rejecting Mummy's invitation to Bangkok a few times with silly excuses. Papa's friend, Uncle Admund was returning to Ipoh that weekend and was also keen to drive his wife and daughter Xinyi to join us. It was a good trip except for my crankiness on the plane that drove Papa mad. I enjoyed swimming so much. The adults had great time enjoying the Penang's specialty such as Penang Laksa, Char Kway Teow...yummy!

It has been a while since I'd last posted. Been busy with house hunting and house selling. Finally, we decided to build our new nest in The Infiniti at West Coast Way. We had a hard time deciding as property prices are rising and we had to find a new place before Mei Mei is born. Yes, Leia will be having a Mei Mei! All the clothes I bought for Leia will be justified as there're quite a few which were only worn twice or thrice.

Daddy and Mummy's office has finally been renovated since they shifted to River Valley Road from April. They were waiting for the 1st level tenant to shift out while everyone had to squeeze working on level 2 for 3 months. Major renovation was done to raise the entire flooring to 1-2 inches higher based on Fengshui advice and the back of the office which used to be an old storage area, was partially transformed into 2 clean toilets + washing area and the other half became part of Daddy's work area - a recreation area with a shine-thru roof top.

Yeh! Mummy finally got herself a new camera! Panasonic DMC-FX48 with partial sponsership with Daddy's Best Denki vouchers. As expected, she took many pictures of me to test out the features of the camera. I'm now a face model of Mummy, having to pose different expression in each picture. Poor me!

Godma invited us to her house so that I could get to play with the 3 young Hans - Yin Yi, Zhi Guang and Rei Yi. We were supposed to swim but it began to rain. Instead, we played hide and seek. I was teamed up with Yin Yi since she's the oldest and she could take care of me. But, I was clueless about what was going on and got bored with the game after a while.

After dinner, the 3 Hans performed special dances for us. Wow, Zhi Guang and Rei Yi shaked their bodies as they grooved along with the music! We were amazed where they learnt their dance steps from! I could only join them in jumping.

Funtime at Kira's house. Thanks to Auntie Evelyn for inviting all of us. We had potluck this time and each of the mummies brought a special dish. Daddy was in Bangkok so everyone encouraged Mummy to join the gathering though Mummy was still not feeling well. On the day itself, Mummy decided to go. About 20 families attended and all of us had fun swimming, playing at the children's playground and the adults enjoyed their dinner.

Jiu Jiu Matthew and Mummy seldom communicate with one another, could be due to the 4 years gap or difference in gender. Things changed after I came along. He simply likes me and visits me every once in a week or two. I'm beginning to respond to Jiu Jiu by hugging and kissing him. When I was younger, I used to cry when I saw Wai Gong and him from afar. Daddy suggested going to Sentosa. Mummy was clueless of where to go since she is still not feeling well. It was a fast trip. We simply had lunch at Kou Fu foodcourt and watched Leia had fun in the water. We shall visit Sentosa again when Mummy is feeling better and H1N1 is not so serious.

Mummy was not feeling well but still she drove me to SOL to meet my other March Toddler Friends. Most of the kids crowded at the little play corner filled with books, toys and a rocking horse. There's an Auntie who can create balloon sword & flowers. She even painted a character on our hands. Most of the girls chose to have painted flowers so Mummy chose something different for me - a DOG! It's amazing that I could sit still for that 15minutes for Auntie to complete the painting. NICE!

Genting Trip 23-25May09

It was a quick decision to go for this Genting Trip. Daddy agreed to go since Uncle Admund was going back to Ipoh over the long weekend and he did not mind driving his family up to Genting from his hometown.

The coach journey started as early as 730am. Can you imagine Mummy waking up at 645am and yelling everyone to rush out of the house! I was still sleeping away when Auntie Rina quickly changed me. Hmm. She was awake since 6am. We still do not understand why she didn't wake us up. Anyway, we managed to catch the coach in time! I was sleeping most of the time so journey to Genting was pretty alright. We stayed in World Hotel which is nearest to the theme park.

When Uncle Admund reached, he booked a van and brought us to a restaurant 5-10mins away from the hotel. I love watching the fish and tortoises. Uncle Admund's dotter Xinyi was so cute, she kept frowning and staring at Daddy. Everyone had dinner except me because I was not interested in eating. After dinner, i fell asleep and was brought back to the hotel room while Daddy and Mummy sneaked out for Movie Star Trek sitting on the Osim Massage Chairs.

Next day was fun for me as I got to try out all kind of rides. I drove the roundabout car, sat on horses, Ferris Wheel, river boat, flying ship and choo-choo train! Daddy's flabby body is so comfortable that I tend to fall asleep on his shoulders. Poor Daddy had to carry me all the way back to the room. I was not so well behaved during the journey back tio Singapore as I kept talking in the coach, must have waken up a lot of aunties and uncles though it was an afternoon ride. Well, I hope to go to Genting again with my didi or meimei next time.

Mummy felt a bit emotional when she saw me walking up to the car and driving happily in it. She was so afraid that I would panick and try to get out of the car. Watching me makes her feel that I've grown up so much :)

It was another fun day at Auntie Joelle's house situated in Jurong West. We brought food for the housewarming. Mummy prepared Cheng Teng that turned out to taste more like longan drink, reminded the Mummies of their confinement days. This time, Leia became a road bully, stopping EJ who was driving the mini car and fussing to get him out. Seth was a gentleman this time though everyone was expecting another fight between the feisty couple.

Auntie Evelyn's younger son Keith's first birthday was held at Bakerzin @UE Square which has a kid zone where the little ones get to experience being a baker for the first time. Too bad it was kinda advanced for little Leia. Most of the kids were at least 3 years and above. They looked like they had lots of fun. Oh ya, Mummy mistook UE Square and drove to United Square instead. This is real funny as UE Square is right opposite Daddy and Mummy's office.

When Auntie Karen told Mummy there's going to be a Princess Theme for Chloe's party, Mummy was clueless on how to dress me up to look like one. In the end, I was back in my tiny ballerina dress with a small tiara clip on my head, looking more like a ballerina than a princess. Anyway, I enjoyed the party so much, especially the dance and stop game, watch me dance in the youtube video below. I am finally big enough to join in the fun. Chloe had a big beautiful Cinderella Cake. She is a big fan of Cinderella now, no wonder she's dressed in a blue, that's the colour of Cinderella's dress.

Bali 17Mar - The Banquet

After the walk-in, there was a cocktail session which lasted for almost an hour before the banquet started. Here's a video of her running around before the banquet.

The whole event lasted for more than 5 hrs! It was tough to keep Leia in her high chair during the Banquet, so we let her roam freely on the grass. She didn't eat much of her kid's meal pasta and kept wondering around. Daddy and I were dead tired at the end of the day, we couldn't wait to leave earlier, even before the last dish - dessert! Leia fell asleep once she finished her milk. And the next day, home sweet home! Indeed, it's tiring to bring a young child overseas.

4th Day:

We bid farewell to Villa Erick and moved to Ritz Carlton at Jimbaran. Check-in was late at 2pm and we had to get ready by 4pm! Leia wanted to have bubble bath-time with Daddy and both had great fun. My Kid's Bento set from the room-service came but she refused to eat. Instead, I made milk for Leia and she fell asleep at 3pm. After 1/2 hr of short nap, I had to wake her up, put her in the pram, bring her hair clips and rush to the bride's room. I was so lucky that she did not fuss, so I managed to help her wear her flower girl dress, tie up her hair and the walk-in went smoothly. phew!

Day 3:

We had to go to Ritz Carlton for rehearsal of the walk-in. Auntie Jesline, the bridesmaid and Mummy brought Leia along while Daddy stayed and worked via the laptop in the villa. It was the first time we met the ring boy, Jack. The 2 kids were busy scribbing away with the pack of drawing materials we brought but after a while, they got bored with it. Sad to say, there was not much chemistry between the 2 of them as Leia refused to hold hand with him. While practising walking down the aisle, we decided that the 2 Mummies should walk with the kids. Otherwise, they would most likely wonder away. After lunch, we brought Leia to the nearby Kid's Playroom, to get some air-con actually. After a tiring morning, she slept during our ride back to the Villa. Some of the aunties went to Ubud. Auntie Jesline and Mummy decided to call for the in-house massage service. In the evening, we had a sumptuous BBQ Dinner prepared by the Villa's Staff.

Bali 15March

Day 2:

The 2nd group - Auntie Jesline, Ann Nee and Ivy arrived. All of us went out to have lunch at a nearby cafe. Weather was so hot and I was perspiring so much. We returned to the villa and jumped into the pool immediately. Leia already had her first swim on Day 1 and enjoyed it so much. She was afraid of the water initially and we had to hug her tightly to give her more confidence. She was passed from auntie to auntie and even imitated our silly actions!

In the evening, we called cab to bring us to Di Mare Restaurant to meet Auntie Stephanie, the bride-to-be and her family. Leia had not been taking her afternoon naps and she was still very active in the cab until the last 15 minutes of the ride when she finally dozed off. In fact, she was too distracted with the new environment that she did not want to eat her food and milk. Feeding her was nearly impossible. By the time we reached the restuarant, we kinda missed the sunset but the views were still very awesome. Our dinner was not bad but rest of the gang commented that it was not that great.

Bali 14March

It's been more thank 2 weeks since we returned from Bali, has been too busy with office shifting that I've no time to blog. Finally, here's the update of the trip.

Day 1:

Daddy had to clear his work before the trip. He returned home at 4am the night before, so Mummy decided to let him sleep as much as he can. The flight was at 1pm and he finally woke up at 11am. I thought we can leave in half an hour's time but I was wrong! We forgot to bring the camera from the office, had to tell cab uncle to drive to our office to pick up the camera, and finally drove off at 12pm. By the time we reached the airport , it was close to 1230pm! Gosh! We only had 1/2 hr before the departure time and the officer refused to accept our luggage. After speaking to her superior, she let us check in the luggage, phew! We walked and ran to our gate and managed to get in 20 minutes before it was closed. Amazingly, there were passengers walking in after us, so we were not the last!

The flight to Bali was fine. I just needed to entertain my gal with different types of activities. My saviour was the little pack of stamps, crayons and drawing paper which I bought from 7-11. She enjoyed the stamping and scribbling very much. Overall, the flight was much better than the previous Bangkok flight as she had a seat of her own this round.

We could feel the heat once we step out of the airport. I was eager to see the real Villa Erick as the pictures on its website were so beautiful. Indeed, it turned out to be within our expectations, the entertainment room and private terrace are plus points, just that the pool is not as huge as what it seems on the website. We chose this villa in Seminyak as there are many sophisticated restaurants along this area but I would say it's kinda secluded. You need to call a cab to travel to any place, unlike Kuta the central area, where you can find little shops and restaurants right outside the hotel. On the other hand, we wouldn't be able to find villas with 4 bedrooms in Kuta area. Anyway, we didn't regret our choice. Our needs were well taken care of. There were 2 staff stationed in the villa to help us cook the breakfast, as well as other meals when we chose to dine in.

My mini 2nd year birthday celebration

I had my birthday celebration 1 day earlier than the actual day 5th March. Uncle Matthew had to work at night on my actual day so Mummy decided to bring it forward. Dear Po po wanted to do something for me. Instead of eating outside, she told Mummy she'll prepare a simple dinner for all of us, - we had fried Dong Feng, fishballs, vegetables and nuggets. I was so happy to see the birthday cake with my favourite character Elmo and his gang! I managed to blow the candle. The flame was gone and everyone clapped! After that, I had a good time playing with Uncle Matthew and his galfriend. Mummy says she will organise a bigger party for me next year and we can invite my friends over.

March Babies 2nd Birthday Bash at Castle Green

We had the first birthday celebration in Gogobambini last year and it feels like it just happened not too long ago! Our dear babies are no longer babies but kids now, wow! For 2nd Birthday Bash, we managed to held it in a function room at Castle Green through the help of Michelle's friend. The kids had a great time! Audrey volunteered to bring the kitchen set, I brought the Ball Pit and Linda brought art & craft stuff for the kids. The kids enjoyed playing with one another and got engaged in different activities.

Leia has been attending 2-hr dou dou class every weekday. The daily routine has been such that Rina will walk her to class and Mummy will drive from office to fetch them to Aunt's place. It's kinda disruptive to my work but there's no better way than this. Mummy the cheuffer decided to stop her lessons in Sunday GUG so Mum & Daughter get to take a break over the weekend.

Things and people I will miss in GUG and United Square:
Big Bird, Chasing Shadow, Snacking Time, Art & Craft Time, Washing Dirty Hands, Bubble Time, Matching Letters, Barney, Teng & Tian and the rest of my classmates.

First Science Centre Trip

Auntie Mejo gave us free tickets to the Science Centre. Daddy wasn't keen as he feels that Leia is too young to understand "Science". Anyway, I told him it's free and he didn't want to be abandoned at home.

When we reached our destination, it started to drizzle a little. When Daddy ordered food from McDonald, Ms Leia Tan kept pulling Mummy to explore the play area. She was fascinated with the little fountain, very eager to touch the water yet afraid to go near to touch it. We had to take turn to eat while one of us entertained her.

There is a large children waterplay area but Mummy forgot to bring extra clothing for Leia. Anyway, it started raining cats and dogs. We proceed to the inside of Science Centre, spent a short 30 mins in Science Centre, majority of the time in the Magic Room, something Daddy is keen about.

Ah Chor's 94th Birthday!

Leia meets her cousins again at Ah Chor's 94th Birthday Celebration. Ah Gong chose a kopitiam at Ghim Moh Road with a playground nearby, so the kids get to enjoy playing before and after the meal. As usual, Leia doesn't eat a lot when she's outside with us and she refuses to stay in the hi-chair for long. Mummy is still in a dilemma, deciding whether to bring Auntie Rina to Bali so that she can help to handle the fussy girl.

Auntie Stephanie will be getting married to her 3-year boyfriend - Guy Robertson in Bali on 17th March at Ritz Carlton Hotel. The Tan family has been invited including Leia who's asked to be the flowergirl. Frankly, Mummy doesn't have much confidence that this girl can obediently walk down the aisle with the bride but Auntie Stephanie is willing to give it a try. All of us including Godma & boyfriend, Auntie Kriss & boyfriend, Auntie Jesline, Ivy and Ann Nee will be sharing the same villa! It's a 4 bedroom Villa - Villa Erick located at Seminyak.

Mummy received a call from Auntie Stephanie that she has found the flowergirl dress in Hong Kong and would like to know Leia's height. Here're the pictures of the dress. Isn't it beautiful! Our next mission is to find a pair of formal white shoes.

Godma and eating corn

Godma & Leia

Mummy had 2nd round of poker session at Auntie Ivy's house. It's an annual event for GodMa, Auntie Kriss, Auntie Jesline and Mummy. 4 round of poker sessions to be held at each of the player's home, to be fair, so that each will get to have homeground advantage for a session.

Leia was not feeling well when Mummy brought her there. She's been down with running nose, cough and phlegm for almost 2 weeks. Her appetite was bad. Po Po had been nagging at Mummy which made her feel so frustrated.

Soon, Leia recovered and her appetite improved tremendously! She has not been her normal self, used to be uninterested in food. Now, she's always disturbing us by crying for food when we are having dinner and she already had hers! Mummy thinks it's either Po Po's porridge recipe or the anti-allery medicine which contains appetiser. This is how she enjoys eating the corn.

Applying Powder

Leia has been watching too much of Mummy applying makeup every morning. She enjoys applying powder to different parts of her body. She digs out cosmetics from my pouch, attempt to put on the lipstick, meddle with my eyeshadow, concealer and even drew on my bed!

It's Chinese New Year again! Time flies and it's Leia's 2nd year of CNY celebration! On CNY Eve, we had reunion buffet at Merchant Court Hotel followed by visiting Auntie - Yi Po's place. There are 6 cats in her house and Leia was so happy stroking them!

First day of CNY - We went to Po Po's house to Pai Nian followed by Po Po's 5th sister aka Mummy's fifth auntie's home and followed by Mummy's Godma's house for lunch. Last station was at Ah Chor's house, playing with cousin Sarah and Brandon.

Hyperactive?

Leia's first day in dou dou class. We managed to make her sleep early and reach the class in time. Rina will be staying in class with her for a week so she doesn't seem afraid. We had potluck cum gift exchange sessions at Daddy and Mummy's Office. Today, I'm not afraid of the uncles and aunties, jie jies and kor kors anymore. When I was younger, I used to cry when Mummy brought me to the office. There were lots of food such as pizzas, log cake, fishcake, otahs, bee hoon, Fondue. Mummy prepared delicious beef soup and Daddy ordered Ham & chicken wings. I was busy running around and taking photos!

We had a little party in GUG class on 14th December, Leia's last lesson in her 2nd term. The kids had a great time snacking away! In the next term, we will be changing to a earlier timeslot from current 1130am to 930am, still under Teacher Zee. It will be a challenge to make Leia sleep early in order to wake up earlier for lesson. Teacher Zee has been a wonderful teacher as Leia does listen to her and she managed to capture attention from my hyper-active girl.

My first tutu dresses

I bought the white tutu dress from a supplier in China and organised a spree on it. The response was good. We waited for 1.5month and finally received the final product. The quality turned out to be great. Leia will be able to wear it on her 2nd birthday in 3 months' time. The pink tutu dress was purchased from a Gymboree spree, to be worn during Christmas, our favourite season. Check out Leia's dance in her tutu.

Sesame Street!

The first 40 persons in the queue get the privilege to take photos with the Sesame Street characters. We were there half and hour early but ended up as the 41th person in the queue. We managed to get into the crowd in front of the stage. It was a great performance. Leia was fascinated by the singings and she sat down obediently to watch.

1. Website Revamp
Yes! I've revamped this blog for the 2nd time. Tedious but it's worth the effort. I find there's still some space constraint in the 2nd layout, so I've been busy searching for a template that can meet my needs. Finally, I found this. The cute little chick hatching out of the egg caught my eyes, reminded me of how a child is born.

At 20th month, Leia is still not speaking any word except maybe "mum mum" for eating. Other than this, I seriously cannot remember her speaking any word and understand the meaning of it. I got panicky as the doctor said if she still refuses to say anything within the next 3 months, he will refer us to speech therapist. So, we've got to be more hardworking in repeating words to her. Finally, Leia called me Mama when I tempted her with my pack of sunflower seeds. Since then, she'll say Mama when someone tries to give her titbits. Sadly, she still doesn't want to call Papa.

Hmm...realised that I forgot to take family picture on my birthday on 1 Oct. Nevermind, at least some photos taken on Ah Mah's birthday on 10 Oct. We had lunch buffet at Meridien Hotel, now known as Concorde Hotel. Variety of food is not bad, local cum japanese dishes at reasonable price. As usual, she's afraid of Uncle Matthew and kept frowning when he carried her for photoshoot.

It was a last minute decision to go to Bangkok at this time. There've been news that the place is chaotic now and we had been postponing our yearly trip. Eventually, I couldn't wait anymore as we need to return prayer within a year from last November when we last prayed to 4 face Buddha mainly for our business. This time we decided to bring Leia along since Marisa is in back in Bangkok and she can help me to handle Leia since daddy can't really help much. Packing was a little tougher than the past because I have to make sure that I didnt miss out bringing anything for Leia, even brought potatoes, carrots, mushroom over to cook soup in the apartment.

Flight to Bangkok was alright as Leia was rather well-behaved. She was very fascinated with the new place and kept looking around. She missed her nap time and slept very late at night. Instead of sleeping, she kept roaming around the apartment. One thing I couldn't stand her is that she kept demanding us to carry her. She refused to walk on her own in the shopping malls and refused to let Marisa carry her, so poor mummy had to carry her almost all the time!

Flight back to Singapore was a challenge as dear Leia chose to poo on flight. She didnt poo for 2 days in Bangkok and I was praying that she wouldn't poo on the flight but she did! She was having difficulty to poo, became cranky and cried. In order not to disturb other passengers, I had to distract her by bringing her to a spacious toilet where she can roam within and meddle with the things. Went to the toilet twice and finally I saw her pressing on to the wall, and exerting her strength! I asked daddy to pass me the wet tissue when trying to keep Leia stay put on the changing table. phew! I was so worried that the plane was going to land. Well, that was a good experience. At least I tried!

I was secretly transferring pictures from Bryan's phone and I found this precious photo which I never knew it existed. Bryan refused to give me the pictures as he claimed they're taken by him, what a childish excuse. Anyway, I finally found this one and only picture of me holding and carrying Leia right after birth. I refused to take any closed up picture after delivery as I knew I look awful and I was dragging myself by tiny steps to toilet everyday. After that, my left pupil went motionless and that caused me not even want to take any photo. I'm so glad that I found this. There're tears on my face in the photo, reminding me of the fear and joy of delivering Leia :)

Leia was having a good time pulling the accessories and making the baby laugh. We had a hard time persuading her to leave the shop. I knew that the salesgirl was staring at her, afraid that she may damage the necklaces. Sometimes, she also refuses to go home. If we walk away from her, she will cry and fuss and pull us back. sigh, I'm totally lost, have no idea how to handle this stubborn girl.

Housewarming at John Millward's beautiful new condo - The Raintree. Leia was shy initially but once she saw the boys & cars, she went wild and ran around the house. At one point of time, she took Luca's toy car away and he tried snatching back from her. It was the first time I saw my gal defended herself by yelling and pushing someone away. Well, I'm not sure whether this is a good trait. We also met a new friend Nicole who can sing very very well. At 2 yrs old, she can memorise the lyrics and sing the whole song " Do a deer, a female deer...."
