Infant Food Recipes

I need to note these recipes in Leia's blog for reference. It's a headache to brainstorm what to cook for her everyday. Here're some interesting yet easy-to-make recipes.

Chicken-Potato Chowder
For 10 months and older.
1/3 cup diced and cooked boneless breast or ground chicken 1/4 cup cubed and cooked potato 1 tablespoon shredded mild Cheddar or American cheese 1/4 cup formula or milk. 2 teaspoons butter. Infant cereal. Mix chicken, potato, milk, and butter in a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir in cheese. Add infant cereal by tablespoons until you get your desired thickness. Mash or puree to desired consistency. Cool before serving.

Scrambled Eggs with Cheese
For babies 10 to 12 months or older.
2 eggs* (for babies under 12 months, use only the egg yolks) 2 tablespoons formula or milk 2 tablespoons shredded mild Cheddar or American cheese 1/2 teaspoon butter. Whip the eggs and milk until foamy. Add cheese. Put the butter into a small frying pan and allow to melt and cover the bottom of pan. Cook the mixture in pan over medium heat for about 4 minutes. Stir constantly to keep the eggs moist and not crispy. Cool to warm, then serve.

Fireworks

Fireworks Festival on 22 August Friday
I was worried that Leia will be intimidated by the loud fireworks. To my surprise, she enjoyed it and kept pointing at the fireworks. I will bring her again next year.

Like a koala bear clinging on to Daddy throughout the fireworks.

First Video Post

Leia having blanket fun with Ah Mah. Whenever she's in our bedroom hopping on our bed and someone starts to fold the blanket or tidy up the bed, she goes crazy dashing towards the person???

Finally, I've registered a youtube account and uploaded my first Leia Video! My favourite - Leia laughing non-stop when she first learnt how to drink water from the cup.

Boy and Bag and Gai Gai

My girl chatting up a boy at Tiong Bahru Plaza.

"It's 5pm. I must go for gai gai. I chose my shoes from the strawberry shoe shelf and let Daddy wear for me."

Little Leia loves furry stuff inclusive of my furry handbag. It's officially hers now. "Mummy, I'm going Gai Gai lor!"

hair and zoo and new table set

At the zoo again. This time, Daddy finally joined us. "For the sake of Leia." he said. Thanks to Auntie Bee Keen aka QQ for the free tickets. Leia had fun at the children area. We saw a bigger children playzone under contruction. Looks like we'll be visiting the zoo soon tho' Daddy said the next visit will be when Leia turns 6. The ultra hot weather and the long distance to the zoo are too much for him.

My new table set - Mummy finally found this set at Carrefour, with a not-so big dimension, just nice to be placed in our narrow living room. yippy!
